London Fashion Week is returning to our screens this weekend, from Saturday 12th until Monday 14th June. The British Fashion Council launched their first-ever digital fashion week last year, due to Covid restrictions, and will continue with the digital-first event this year, alongside a few exclusive physical fashion shows of limited capacity.

Although the social aspect of the traditional event is dearly missed, the move-to-digital offers many advantages to viewers and designers alike as London Fashion Week now opens up to more people than ever before.

Fashion fans from all over the world can enjoy virtual front row seats to what would have previously been strictly invite-only shows, regardless of their connection to the industry or physical location, no more scouring through Instagram for blurry #FRow videos! Young designers are also able to benefit from the lower involvement costs and greater number of shows with wider audiences, which in turn affords greater visibility and unequalled exposure.

The three day summer event is accessible to everyone via the state-of-the-art platform, which can be accessed here. You’ll find everything from VR runways, short films, podcasts and playlists, as well as virtual showrooms that showcase the new season’s designs from the industry’s most prized designers, as well as up-and-coming talent.

The lineup includes trailblazing women-owned fashion brands like winner of the 2021 Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design Ahluwalia, BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Award 2021 winner Bethany Williams, subversive Turkish-British designer Dilara Findikoglu, and perennially cool designs from Marques’Almeida.
