Summer Staycations?

Just as our Prime Minister, Boris Johnson announces he is doing a staycation this summer, he urges fellow citizens to follow in his footsteps. With countries opening and reclosing their borders, perhaps the summer of 2020 will be a holiday closer to home. And why not?! The UK has so much to offer and with the weather very much in our favour, we at Buckingham & Lloyds have taken the initiative of promoting this very lovely idea.

What are we really looking for when we imagine the perfect holiday?! It’s a break away from the usual, familiar surroundings and returning to our homes fully recharged with fond memories. Aren’t we all looking for a place with lovely restaurants and fabulous dinning, amazing shopping experiences, grand culture and a gorgeous location to rest your head? London has all this to offer and more! And with Buckingham & Lloyds only a stones throw away from Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, offering a safe haven and most fabulous escape in the heart of our city – a London staycation is not such a bad idea!

Our favourite restaurants have reopened with spectacular new and improved menus and some fancy refurbishments. Same can be said for our shops and beauty facilities. Word on the street is that gyms are soon to reopen but if that takes some more time, Buckingham & Lloyds are soon to announce a hidden gem secret: The Hyde Away Gym! With all Covid 19 regulations in place, the gym will be accessible for our guests to enjoy at all times and a safe way of getting back in shape, after indulging perhaps a little too much during the last few months.

The year of 2020 is all about being creative and looking for different ways to gain a new sense of normal. Having been cooped up inside for the last 4 months, it is only natural to want to have a little (or big) breather from our homes. We still remain safe for ourselves and for others but we all deserve a lovely holiday. Whether for a short-term weekend break or a full-term staycation, we are the perfect location to choose. Not only do we offer a fully contactless check-in and check-out system but because we are a luxury apart/ hotel, you have all the advantages of staying in a fully equipped apartment, with all the luxury of feeling you are in a hotel.

Following all the government guidelines, we have been allowed to remain open during this time and successfully and safely accommodating our guests. It is what makes us so unique and perfect for a staycation, a home away from home.
